Joel 3:16 (NKJV): The Lord also will roar from Zion, And utter His voice from Jerusalem; The heavens and earth will shake; But the Lord will be a shelter for His people, And the strength of the children of Israel.
This was a prophecy of Amos (Amos 1:2). A prophecy of the Last Day. When God will come back to Earth and take His people with Him. He will come with sounds of trumpets that will be heard by those eagerly awaiting His return as promised. His roar, as the Lion of Judah, will be from the front of His Heavenly ranks of Angels and will be sounded from Zion – the Heavens and His voice will be heard in Jerusalem where He will be headed to take on the enemies of His people, people of Israel.
While all this happens, there will be darkness on the Earth and the Heavens and Earth will shake. Could it be an Earthquake or will the forces of Heavens fighting the Earthly dark enemies feel like the Earth is moving?
Where will God’s people, the servants of the Lord (the people of Israel), and His children (the children adopted through their faith in Him) be during this time? As always, God will be the shelter and refuge for His people who only rely and depend on Him. Both Jews and Gentiles, who are God’s chosen, redeemed, and called will look to God during this time. God gives us our strength. He provides us grace and salvation with which we have hope to withstand our spiritual enemies on Earth and to be persistent to the end. God is our mighty refuge, our stronghold, our cornerstone. In Him, we are safe from all our troubles, we get our peace, comfort, unconditional love and grace, and mercy.
