Live a rich and satisfied life

John 10:10 – “The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.”

We often wonder when we see the works of others if we can ever do the same. ‘Can God use me to do His work here, while on earth?’ “Oh yes!” Is God’s answer. God made you. God called you out and chose you while you were in your mother’s womb. God has a plan and purpose for your life. Your life has a real worth.

The same God who used Paul in the prison will use you where He has planted you, to have an impact on your environment and society about you. God doesn’t need a particular person, ambience, or place to do His work. God even used a donkey!?! God can use you wherever you are, or whatever circumstance you are in. Don’t doubt this even if you do not see the fruit or harvest of your hard work now. One day, when you look back at the good in your life and at the people around you, they will remember your kindness, words of wisdom, and love for them. This is what God wants from us. To share his love with others so that they may see Him through you.

For God to be able to use us, we must be clean vessels. We need to keep ourselves free from sin, as much as we can, by regular repentance and confession of our sins to God. He will always pardon you of your sins whatever it may be. God wants to water you with His holy Word. When you read the Bible, you will begin to bloom wherever you are planted. When you speak to God in prayer, He will empower you with His Spirit. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead. Hey! With this backing – do you still have the doubt ‘can God use me’? Are you still looking for the meaning of life? Don’t listen to the thief who whispers in your ear to steal, kill and destroy your purpose. Nothing – no weapon, no curse, no evil – can destroy God’s plan for your “rich and satisfying life”!
