1 John 3:2
“Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.”
Have you seen a toddler imitating everything a parent does? It’s quite amusing to see a child strongly emphasizing the word, “No”, while holding out a finger just as she might have seen her parent do. The truth is, it’s in our innate nature to adapt our behavior to match the people we spend a lot of time with.
You know what a loved one is thinking, or how they might react in a particular situation. You anticipate their needs and do things accordingly. Can we not have that kind of relationship with our Heavenly Father as well? Think about this: The Lord Most High, the God of the Universe, the One who sent His Son to die in our place, calls you His child.
As you spend time with Him daily, as you read His Word and carry on a conversation with Him throughout the day, you’ll find your thoughts, words and actions mimicking that of Your Father. You’ll instinctively know what pleases God and what doesn’t. You’ll be aware of the Holy Spirit’s guidance over your life and You will be in tune with His will. Even on days when you don’t feel His presence, keep practicing the spiritual disciplines of prayer and Bible study. God’s Word will be a light to your path, helping you live a life that glorifies Your Father.
Amen..Praise to the LORD Almighty Loving Gracious Father GOD.
