Magnify GOD, not Troubles

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10

This verse is a favourite for most of us. God says to the ones who fear that He is with them. He promises to strengthen them, help them and uphold them with His right hand. The right hand of God signifies how precious we are to Him and how His power takes over. Like a child holding on to a parent’s hand as he crosses a busy street, God will uphold us as we navigate life. Isn’t that comforting!

It’s quite normal to have fear and be dismayed, but as children of God, let not fear get a hold of us. This verse reminds us that our strength is not in our might but our God. Our help does not come from our knowledge: what we know, our health: how able we are, or our relationships: people we know. Instead, our help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth. If we put our trust in material things like wealth, health, knowledge or people, we will fail. But, when the God of Angel Armies upholds you, no one can ever reach you to bring you down.

Much to our dismay, life’s journey will go through many fearful situations. But remind yourself to stand firm and gather strength to allow God to walk with you through it all. Wait on the Lord to reveal His plans to you. Be like David when in Ziklag(1 Samuel 30:1-30), he was a fugitive, he lost his family, and the men he trained wanted to stone him; a hopeless situation. However, David wasn’t vulnerable to his impossible situation but marched forward with faith in God.

Today don’t magnify your troubles but magnify your God. He is waiting to strengthen you; help you; and uphold you, for He is your God!
