My Father in Good Times and the Bad Times

James 5:13 – Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms.

Every day, through our struggles and victories we always approach our parents first. Why? It’s because we trust them and know we can count on them. The same way, we have our Heavenly Father, without whom all our victories would not have been possible. When we talk to our parents, they guide us during our struggles and celebrate our victories. When we talk to God, we should not only go to Him with our troubles but also with thanksgiving and praise for His provision in our lives.

In the above verse, God is asking us to talk to Him during our struggles. He is the way out of the darkness into His perfect light. When we pray, it should not just be a prayer for receiving God’s blessings but should also be a prayer of praise and thanksgiving for His goodness in our lives. Whatever we go through, whatever we lack, whenever we need Him, God is there for us. The least we can do is thank and praise God for how He takes care of us, His children.

Dear God, we come to You with a heart of gratitude and thanksgiving. Thank you for being there when we need You. Thank you for standing by our side when we are alone. Thank you for standing for us even when we didn’t ask for it and for answering our prayers. Lord please protect, provide and love us, as we praise you in all that we do for all that you have done for us. I submit to You Lord, my victories and my losses, my joy and my tears, my heartbreak, and humiliation, my pride and joy. Take all that I am and use it for your glory Lord. Amen.

Just too good. May God bless her. Giving all honour and Glory to Him only Him. He is our Saviour and Protector. We thank Him for His loving kindness and He takes care of all of us. Amen
