Psalm 89:8-9
“O Lord God of hosts, Who is mighty like You, O Lord? Your faithfulness also surrounds You. You rule the raging of the sea; when its waves rise, You still them.”
If you’ve ever enjoyed an evening by the beach or marveled as huge waves crashed to the shore, you already know what a beautiful facet of nature the ocean is. Over 70% of the earth is covered by oceans and it is home to a few hundred thousand known species. The Bible tells us that it’s the Lord who gathered all the water(Genesis 1:9), filled it with great sea creatures (Genesis 1: 21) and called it good.
Can you imagine the scene being played out when the Creator of the ocean was tossed about in a boat in the middle of a storm (Matthew 8:24)? While the disciples fretted and woke Lord Jesus from sleep, He only chided them for their lack of faith and immediately calmed the storm. The same God who created the ocean and the storms, also created you. If He’s allowed some storms to rock your boat, you don’t have to be afraid.
Remember that as long as Jesus is in your life, even if He seems asleep, He is still completely in control. He will grant you peace to withstand the storm and come out of it unscathed. Better still, your stormy experience will enrich your faith and give you the confidence to do greater things to glorify His name.

Father God. I thank you for each and every day you have blessed us here on earth. Thank you for your tender mercies. Lord I ask you to bless my friends for those I care deeply for, lord give your peace and mercy and fulfill all our needs, in Jesus name I pray Amen hallelujah 🙌
