James 1:4
But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

James 1 begins with a challenging command for us. We are advised to be joyful in the face of the trials. Trials help us to develop a deeper trust in God. It is in trials our reliance on God increases, it makes us strong. As we trust God more, our faith in Him increases, which increases our steadfastness, endurance, or patience which leads to perfection and lacking nothing.

God’s word teaches us of how trust and hope in God will never let go of us:
– Joseph endured and trusted God through his trials and became instrumental in God’s hand to secure his family.
– David endured through his trials and became one of the mighty kings who protected God’s chosen people. He was called a man after God’s own heart.
– Daniel and his friends the list goes on.

They teach us joyful and not grumbling responses to trials will only make us more than overcomers and more than conquerors.

Let us consciously be joyful through all situations of our lives trusting our God wholly. Allow perseverance patience or endurance to be cultivated and experience a faith-filled life.

Blessed Day Ahead.
