PLAY IT SKILLFULLY

Psalm 33:2 – “Praise the Lord with the harp; Make melody to Him with an instrument of ten strings. Sing to Him a new song; Play skillfully with a shout of joy.”

One of the most distracting things during worship is when one can notice a lack of preparation from the musicians; or when an instrument or a voice is out of tune. Not that the Lord would not accept our worship, because He is looking for worshippers “who worship Him in Spirit and Truth”. (John 4:24). And true worship pleases the Lord.

However, we are called to praise the Lord with instruments, our voice, our creativity, and to do it with excellence! Skillfully!

To become skilled at something, we need to practice, practice, practice, especially when we are doing it for the Lord!

If your calling is to worship the Lord with Music, do it wholeheartedly. Set time aside to learn, practice and excel at what you do. After all, the Lord is worthy of all our praises, and it rises up to Him like a fragrant offering!

So, may our worship to the Lord be like a sweet perfume that invites Him to bend down and hear our praises!
Amen!
