Pray always

Matthew 26:36:  Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane and saith unto the disciples, sit ye here while I go and pray yonder.

Jesus was both human and God.  He prayed always.  Even at the point of death, He had TIME to pray and seek the face of His heavenly Father.  He went around doing good to people, but He used to begin His day very early in the morning with prayer.  He prayed in every situation thus teaching us also to pray tirelessly.

We are so busy and caught up with so many other things in our life that we make prayer as a spare tyre instead of the steering wheel.  Prayer should be our top item on our list of priorities.  Jesus prayed when He chose His disciples, when He broke the bread, and even when being tempted of the devil, he was in fasting and prayer.  When he sent out His disciples ahead of Him, He chose to remain in prayer but rushed to them when they were caught in a violent storm.  At last, in the garden of Gethsemane, He chose to pray for strength and comfort.  There is a lot to learn from the life of Jesus.  When He could devote and set apart some time to pray, we should also do likewise.

Set aside every day some time to pray and seek God’s face.  You don’t have to have a specific pattern or a beautiful vocabulary for prayer.  You just need to talk to God and ask for His guidance.  In good times and bad times, just PRAY.  You will only help yourselves.
