Psalm 70:4 – “Let all those who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; And let those who love Your salvation say continually, ‘Let God be magnified!’”

“Rejoice in the Lord, always. Again I say, rejoice.” We’ve read the words and sung it many times. But how do you rejoice always? When stress is wearing you out and circumstances overwhelm you, how can you be joyful? The verse above gives us a clue. When you seek the Lord with all your heart, mind and soul, you will find every reason to be joyful in Him.

When you magnify the Lord in your life, everything else pales in comparison. When you think about the magnitude of your sins that He’s forgiven, it will flood your soul with praise. It’s God’s will that you live a joyful life. The early apostles believed it too, despite the harsh persecution they faced on a daily basis.

If you’re struggling to find joy in the everyday mundane, look up to Jesus. As you continue to seek the Lord, He will fill you with more of His Spirit. When you allow the Holy Spirit to control your thoughts, He will guide you into a mindset of joy. No matter how harsh your situation may be right now, pause and focus on how the Lord has guided you till date. When your heart is filled with praise, you will have every reason to rejoice in the Lord.
