Renewed strength

Isaiah 40:31:  But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

An eagle when it feels it has lost its strength to fly or that it is no longer able to hunt its prey with that sharp focussed eyes, it knows it is losing its youthfulness and vigour.  It does one thing and that is to fly to a high mountain and wait there for several days until new feathers develop, new beak develops, and new claws develop.  It is an overall process of renewed strength that comes with waiting.  It then finds out that it was worth the wait after all when it successfully catches its prey and is able to fly higher and higher.

When we are so encompassed with troubles and challenges everywhere, the only place to be renewed in strength is the mount of God, the mountain of prayer, on our knees.  We need to seek God and wait in His presence until we feel the renewed strength in ourselves, strength that we can do all things through Christ.  The failed things in your life would no longer remain failed but will be successful because you waited in God’s presence.  The things that have failed you when you thought could be achieved based on your past experience will now need to be attempted based on  your new strength.  God will make you victorious to such an extent that you will not grow tired or weary trying to do what you had been wanting to do because it is not your past achievements that is going to help you now but the renewed strength in the power of God.

Wait upon the Lord when you feel low and let down.  Run to Him for strength and commit your ways to Him.  Be blessed.
