Saving Grace

Ephesians 2:5 – “Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)…”

God’s grace is His unconditional gift to us. As humans who are prone to sin, we don’t rightfully deserve salvation, eternity or an abundant life. Yet, while we were sinners, Christ died for us. He didn’t wait for us to turn from our sinful ways… He died, knowing fully well that we wouldn’t always be faithful to Him.

We worry and doubt when trials come. We lose faith in God when calamity strikes. We become rebellious when our lives don’t go according to our plans. And yet, Jesus chose to take our sins upon Himself and die in our place. Now, by His grace, we are no longer dead in sin but alive through Christ. What a privilege it is!

Even though we’re saved, we can’t live a blameless life on our own. That’s why we need God’s grace on a daily basis. As we spend time in His presence, get immersed in the Word, fellowship with others in church and serve God wholeheartedly, the Holy Spirit regenerates us from the inside out. If you feel far from God today, repent right away, return to Him and rest in His amazing grace. It’s the best decision you’ll ever make!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for the gift of your saving grace. Help me renew my mind daily and follow you all my days. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
