Seek God’s Guidance

Psalm 32:8 – “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.”

Kids love playing a game of hide and seek. Adults, not so much. Whether we’re seeking a life partner, a job opportunity or a better future, the search can be quite frustrating. But it doesn’t have to be. In today’s verse we find a blanket statement that God will instruct us and teach us in the way we should go. He will guide us, with His eye always on us.

Proverbs 25:2 says, “It is the glory of God to conceal things, but the glory of kings is to search things out.” God doesn’t map out our whole future and reveal it at one go. He only shows us what we need to take the next step. While on rare occasions, God does give us grand visions of a glorious future, that’s not always the case. However, we can always go back to God’s Word and search out His instruction for our next step.

Are you looking for God’s instruction and guidance? God says, “Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.” (Jeremiah 33:3) While you’re waiting for God to reveal what you should do, make sure you’re walking in obedience to the previous Word He’s given you. Keep seeking God, be patient and remain faithful where God has placed you now. He will teach you where you should go next.
