Stretch out your hand

Mark 3:5:  And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, stretch forth thine hand, and he stretched it out; and his hand was restored whole as the other.

Jesus met a man with a shrivelled hand in the synagogue on a Sabbath morning.  For Jesus, people were His priority.  He was a God of compassion and mercy.  He told the man to stretch out his hand and he stretched it to see that it was healed like the other hand.

The man here in this story didn’t check if he could stretch it neither did he complain that he cannot stretch or of his inability to stretch it.  He just obeyed Jesus and demonstrated his faith through obedience.  Obedience without doubt brought deliverance and miracle in this man’s life. Even if it sounds crazy, we have to trust God and obey Him.  Sometimes it may seem so stupid to obey God at all times, but we have only one choice, either to obey Him and enjoy His miracles or disobey Him and be at a total loss for the rest of our life.  What do you want to choose?

If God asks you to do something which is contrary to your thinking or calculation, don’t doubt Him.  Only when you stretch, your hand will be restored like the other.  Do not doubt His words or His doings in your life because you have nothing to lose when you obey Him.
