Jeremiah 15:20– “I will make you to this people a fortified bronze wall; And they will fight against you, But they shall not prevail against you; For I am with you to save you And deliver you, says the Lord.”
We all have faced challenges where we must completely depend on our Lord and Savior: to face it, to go through it, to come out victorious. In this passage, the Lord says that He will make His people a fortified bronze wall. One of the characteristics of bronze is that it is harder than pure iron and far more resistant to corrosion.
In other words, the Lord says: “I will teach you with an invincible strength and constancy, so that all the powers of the world will not overcome you.” (Geneva Bible Study).
The Lord says that we will be fought against, but our enemies will not be able to prevail against us, not because of anything we can do, but because it is our Lord Who is with us to save us and to deliver us from every single one of our battles.
He equips us with what we need to endure it, to come out victorious and alive, because our Lord is on our side, He fights for us – not against us. In order to activate this supernatural power made available to us, all we need to do is ‘repent’, ‘serve’ Him, and speak ‘worthy words’. (Jeremiah 15:19).
Let us not become preoccupied and look around at the circumstances happening around us, let us not become overwhelmed, let us depend on the God Who is already victorious over all our battles. He is victorious over all diseases, and the pandemic we are facing right now.
Remember that ‘no weapon forged against us shall prosper’. (Isaiah 54:17). “Those who wage war against you will be as nothing at all. For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear: I will help you.” (Isaiah 41:12-13). Amen!
