Psalm 30:4
“Sing praise to the Lord, you saints of His, and give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name.“
Psalm 100:4 says, “Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise.” Giving thanks and praising His holy name go hand in hand.
How should we thank Him? We should thank Him in remembrance of His holy name. Scripture asks us to thank Him depending on His holy name and not based on what we are going through or what we have gone through. Thanking Him for who He is; by remembering what He can do.
What is His name? “The Great I Am” – The one who always stands true to His promises; delivers, restores, heals, forgives, and is merciful to us for His namesake.
“Jesus” – The name above all names. The redeemer, prince of peace, advocate; who understands us and knows every need of ours. He overcame death and is the resurrected savior of the world, sustainer, protector, our shepherd. He is the way, the truth, and the life(John 14:6)
The call to praise Him and thank Him is for His saints who have seen Him and the work of His hands.
Yes, He deserves all our praise and thanksgiving. Every day is a testimony of His mercy and goodness over our lives. So let not our hearts and lips cease to praise and thank Him. Let everything in us bless, praise, and thank Him continually.
Blessed Day Ahead.
