Psalm 69:30

I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify Him with thanksgiving. (NKJV)

It is easy to Praise God when everything is working well. We would love to declare His excellence, His awesome power and His greatness

But is it the same during our times of trouble?

We forget to remind ourselves that even during our stressful difficult situations, it is His mercy that sustains us and takes us through. It would take extra strong faith to praise Him for His goodness and kindness during the difficult seasons.

King David praised and thanked God through the great number of psalms that he wrote. But do we know that many of them were written in times of distress and afflictions? No matter what season David found himself in, he always had the perspective of praise.

When in affliction, praising God brings deliverance and healing.

When Paul and Silas praised God in the prison, their chains were broken by God!

The Bible says, “Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.” (1 Thessalonians 5:18 NLT)

You can thank God for all the blessings He has bestowed upon you.

You could thank God for providing you food, giving you a home, family, job when it was utmost needed.

You can thank God for the very life He has given you.

You can thank God in faith for all the blessings that He has in store for you.

Our God has great plans for us – plans to prosper us and to give us hope and a future.
