Psalm 73:24
You will guide me with Your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.
Rajet and Sia were planning on finally constructing their own dream house. Though the house was obviously their own and they were the ones going to be living there, they consulted a structural engineer, an architect, an interior designer, a project manager as well as a technical engineer. After all, they wanted their home to be perfect.
When we want the best in life, we consult the best. The Holy Bible records at least nine times when David consulted the Lord. Result? The Lord called him a man after His own heart.
Everyday we are faced with decisions and choices that we’ve got to make. Many times, we ask the Lord for His will but follow our own. When we seek the Lord for His counsel, we should be willing to wait on Him. In the waiting will be a lot of learning, but we need to trust His timing. Psalm 106 tells us of the Israelites who did not “earnestly wait for His plans to develop regarding them.”
Therefore, beloved, let us pray: Dear Lord, We seek your counsel in our lives today. Instruct me and teach me in the way I should go. Let my heart delight in Your Word and Your divine wisdom, for following You leads me into your brightness and glory. In Jesus’ Name! Amen!
