What a simple yet comforting truth. Where the world strives in its own terms to gain everything unattainable, the simple truth of God’s Word reminds us all that striving means nothing if it’s not the Lord who blesses us.
To how many of you it is a comforting truth? While you plan, pray, strive, and execute; it’s ultimately the hand of the Lord that brings favor and wealth. While you’re working and are probably stressed, God is preparing to bless.
All the riches of the world can not be compared to the boundless love of our God. The profound wisdom of proverbs thus says, the righteous will learn to rest, lean, and abide; while wicked will plot their schemes for their own destruction.
What an assurance and truth this is; ‘the lawless are haunted by their fears and what they dread will come upon them, but the longings of the lovers of God will all be fulfilled.’ Proverbs 10:24 (TPT)
