The Holy Spirit – Our Helper

John 14:26

The Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

God became flesh to come into this world and was nailed to the cross to redeem mankind from sin with His blood.  He will come again very soon to gather those who are waiting on Him.

When the Lord Jesus was walking on the earth with His disciples, He did mighty miracles among the people and the disciples were enjoying their fellowship with the Lord. As the time came by for His crucifixion, the disciples were beginning to panic. 

But Lord Jesus promised to give them His presence with the Holy Spirit to teach, comfort, guide, advocate and strengthen them in their weakness. The Holy Spirit would help them remember the words Lord Jesus had spoken to them.

The Holy Spirit is with us even today. The Holy Spirit gives us power and boldness to rise up when we fall down due to our burdens. He guides us to the truth and releases His love to us. The Holy Spirit convicts us of our sin and helps us to live a righteous life. The Holy Spirit helps us to produce fruit (Galatians 5:22-23) in our day-to-day lives. As a child of God, we should yearn to be filled with the fruit and gifts of the Holy Spirit. 

Let us allow ourselves today to be filled with His Holy Spirit. As we submit our lives for His purpose, the Holy Spirit will take over our imperfect lives and fill us with His strength and might for a blessed life.
