Micah 7:19 He will again have compassion on us, And will subdue our iniquities. You will cast all our sins Into the depths of the sea.
We, humans, are sinful by nature. God already knew that we would make the same mistake again and again but still loves us . God the Father is an ocean of Love and Mercy. God’s love for us never comes to an end. We can always restart fresh every day because His mercies are new every morning.
If we look at the nation of Israel, God kept on forgiving them over and over. At the Red Sea, they grumbled against Moses. God divided the Red Sea and they witnessed one of the greatest miracles ever. Later the Israelites kept complaining about the manna they were provided to eat. God provided an abundance of quail as they wanted meat. When Moses went up to Mount Sinai to get the Ten Commandments, the Israelites sinned, through Aaron, who built a golden calf to worship. They kept on disobeying God. But God kept on forgiving them and loving them those who repented and those who moved to God’s side.
In Matthew 18:20–21 Peter asked Lord Jesus how many times must we forgive our brothers and Lord Jesus said ““I say to you, not up to 7 times, but up to 77 times.” So if we should keep forgiving our brothers over and over, wouldn’t it sound reasonable that God would also keep forgiving us?
Once God forgives us, the Bible says He remembers our sins no more. Let us therefore, submit our lives to Him and live a life of kindness and forgiveness to our fellow-beings. When we forgive others, He will forgive our sins too!
Blessed day ahead!
