Waiting on the Lord!

Micah 7:7 Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.

Micah is one of the old testament prophets who prophesied that the Messiah would be born in Bethlehem. There was evil and corruption in the land during his time. With all the misery around him, Micah had hope. Micah 7 begins with despair and misery, but ends in beautiful Hope. He knew that the dark times that he was in would not last. He believed that there would be light at the end of the tunnel. He waited for Lord Jesus who would bring salvation to the nation.

There will be situations when we would need to wait for Lord Jesus to work in our lives. During this time,  we wait in hope and anticipation of what He is going to do. When we wait on Lord Jesus, our lives will be changed. We will grow to be more mature in our spiritual lives. We will realise that our lives should not be filled with fear, worry, anxiety, anger, hatred or stress. Instead we need to fill our lives with His peace that will lead us through. He will strengthen us day by day as we continue to spend time in His presence.

Let us focus on the Lord and wait on our savior. He will hear us. He will come and save us. There is no need to fret or despair. Continue to commit our needs to Him. Trust Him and keep seeking Him. As we wait on Him, He will strengthen us, provide for our needs, and grant us victory.

“My God will hear me” what a confidence!!
I’m also surrounded by many challenges, being crushed from all sides and during such times it often feels as if God has turned away from hearing me but this trust and confidence is all that’s needed.

    Thank you for sharing.
