Isaiah 49:16 – “See , I have inscribed you on the palms of my hands, your walls are continually before me.”
When we are in school , we make a lot of friends and develop deep friendships hoping that it will last forever and again in college and then some more in our workplace. But have you ever thought about how many friends stick with you for a lifetime?
A study conducted suggested that we only make 29 real friends in our lives out of which only 4 to 6 remain with whom we continue to strengthen our relationship. But for many of us only the close family members and a friend or two stick through the thick and thin of our lives.
We live in a world where the phrase “out of sight, out of mind” prevails and is starting to prove even more true now than ever. The Lord asks: “Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion for the child she has borne” .- Isaiah 49:15. Of Course not, mother never forgets her children but yet even if for some reason she forgets, The Lord says,” I will never forget you”. He has engraved your name on the palms of His hands which means that we are eternally His Children and nothing in this world can separate us from the love of our Lord for us.
We are always under His protection and we are not hidden from His presence. He is continually watching over us and our walls are ever before him.
This world will forget you one day, maybe even your parents, perhaps due to unforeseen illness or old age. But be rest assured that the only One who will never forget us is the Lord Almighty ,Our Father in Heaven.
