Colossians 1:13 – “He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love.”
If we could see the spiritual world, the powers of darkness, the spiritual forces of evil, what would we do? How would that change our behavior and attitude towards God and our friends, family, loved ones, and people in general? The sad reality is that the spiritual world is very real; “darkness covers the earth, and thick darkness is over the peoples”. (Isaiah 60:2).
The only antidote to this doomy and dark reality is knowing Jesus Christ: there is absolutely no other way! He is Light! And we know that where there is light, darkness can never extinguish it! (John 1:5). Jesus asks us to hear His word, He is the good shepherd and He says: “Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that heareth My word, and believeth on Him that sent Me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” (John 5:24).
Jesus is the mighty warrior that does not give us up! He chose us first, He sees us, He fights for us “with vengeance, with the recompense of God, He comes and saves us!” (Isaiah 35:4).
The picture is full of action. Dark? Yes. Terrifying? Yes. Bloody? Yes! But the end is superb! It is the picture we all want to be in, knowing that our God is our Savior! And knowing that He has won it and knowing that He will always win it!
“He has incredibly and mightily delivered us from the power of darkness! Praise Him for this! And conveyed us, transferred us with His power into the kingdom of Light!! Halleluiah!!
