Ephesians 1:4 – “…He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love.”
Here we are in the year 2020, approximately these many years since our Savior was born.
We do not know exactly when the world was created, we do not know exactly how many people were born ever since its foundation, and we do not know how many people will be born until our Lord returns. But we DO know that He chose us in Him BEFORE the foundation of the world.
What a mystery! What a privilege! To realize that we were chosen before the foundation of the world, chosen to be holy and blameless in His sight, through His love, through His Son, Jesus Christ, through whom we became adopted, according to His good pleasure and will. (Ephesians 1:5).
We wouldn’t be able to stand before God if it wasn’t for His love for us which is the very reason why we are also not consumed, and what will allow us to be able to stand in front of Him. Not only stand, but ”bow down and confess to God”. (Romans 14:11).
God’s saving grace reached us much before we were born; His grace is still reaching many people today and will continue to reach until the end of time, so our duty is to be messengers of His gospel and proclaimers of His salvation.
We will be found holy and without blame because of Jesus Christ who is “seated at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and (far above) every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.” (Ephesians 1:20-21). Amen!
