The Reward of a Humble Heart

Psalm 138:6

Though the LORD is exalted, He looks kindly on the lowly; though lofty, He sees them from afar.

THE LORD, the exalted One, the all powerful, all knowing, all consuming One! Who is like unto HIM, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders! His throne is established in the heavens, His kingdom rules over all. His glorious majesty streams from the heavens, the works of His hands displayed in grandeur for all to see. Look at the splendour of His creation and compared to all of this magnificent beauty, what is this mortal man that HE cares for so much and is so mindful of?

Beloved, if you’ve been waiting on the Lord for the restoration of your honour and dignity, HE will not let you down. The Most High who inhabits eternity and is seated on the throne, is most concerned about YOU! You’ve humbled yourself and not retaliated. You’ve been denied and treated unfairly, but know that He has seen the tears cried in silence and loneliness. Proverbs 22:4 says that humility is the fear of the Lord and its wages are riches, honour and life.

This psalm says that the Lord stoops down to embrace the humble, and that’s what He is doing for you. He holds you in His arms and is going to crown you with victory! His grace is sufficient for you and His power is made perfect in your weakness. Your Lord WILL lift you up in His perfect time. Where humility is the cornerstone, there glory shall be the top stone.
