Isaiah 25:1 “O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth. ” KJV
Truth and faithfulness are probably two of the most sort after qualities in any relationship. It lays a solid foundation upon which a strong and healthy bond can be built. Having said that one can’t help but think, does such a relationship exist in the practical world? We are living in a world where people give up easy. Marriages are broken at a drop of a hat. Infidelity and deception rule the world. One cannot trust another anymore. People change depending on their convenience. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have someone with a proven track record of truth and faithfulness?
The above verse by Prophet Isaiah illustrates his relationship with the Lord. Through this verse, he claims to have a beautiful and personal relationship with God, which permits him to call the Almighty God, his own. He puts into perspective the fact that our Lord is dependable and committed to His people at all times.
Today, we are called to receive Christ into our lives. We are reminded that we too can have a relationship with the Lord of the Holy Bible. All we have to do is surrender ourselves to him completely. He is not only the God of prophet Isaiah, but also your God. He will guide you truthfully and faithfully, delivering you from every affliction and blessing you through it all. What a privilege it is to invite this wonder-working and prayer-answering God into our hearts!
