Psalm 62:8 “Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.” KJV
When King David wrote the above Psalm, He did so with the intention of letting us know that when we put our trust and faith in God, His divine protection is a guarantee. The Bible very clearly makes it known to all , that trusting God is not an option, but a duty and a privilege for a believer.
In time of troubles, we often doubt the existence of God. We very conveniently reject the one who breathed life into us. The great one who has the potential to bring dry bones to life and has done it innumerable times and is still doing it, is all of a sudden non-existent. This is not what is expected from the children of God. On the contrary, we ought to put our trust in the Lord, when all is in disarray. We are called to express our trust in Him when everything around us is bleak. When the life-threatening disease is not getting cured, or the child you are blessed with turned out to be autistic, make Him your refuge and your safe ground. Cry out to His Holy name and wait on Him for supernatural strength and deliverance. Matthew 6:25 says, “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?” If these beautiful and reassuring words from our Father in Heaven does not comfort us, nothing will. Aren`t we blessed to serve a God as faithful and mighty as this! He is most certainly true to His holy name.
