James 1:12: Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
Temptation and trials are very common that occur to everyone, but for those in Christ, they will build up a person’s character and faith. When Jesus was tempted by the devil in the wilderness, He won over the devil by speaking out the Word loud and clear. He believed every word of what He said because He was the Word.
Living a life of faith is quite challenging when we have to deal with hard issues and/or circumstances. We go through financial breakdowns, health issues, trouble at work place, spiritual challenges, etc. As a believer, we have to go back to what God’s word says about temptations or trials. It says when we are tested with these things in life and when we endure or go through them patiently, we shall receive the crown of life. This is the promise that the Lord has promised to everyone who loves Him. Refuse to stop trusting God when times are bad. We have nothing to lose when we continually trust and hope in God. Some stressors are so bad that they could choke us and quench us of faith. When we are surrounded by a myriad of evil things which try to buffet us or throw us off gear, stand firm in your conviction and confession that God is good all the time and that He will never let you be defeated.
It only takes a little distraction to take your eyes off God and believe that your circumstances are ruling you. Never let that happen. If you want to receive the crown of life, hang on to God.
