Victory is Yours

1 Corinthians 15:57-58 – “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.”

When Jesus died on the cross and rose again on the third day, He defeated sin and death and bought us victory. As long as you believe in Jesus as your Saviour, you are on His side – the winning side. An army that has won the war does not live in captivity any more. You are free to live an abundant life, fulfilling God’s purpose in your life.

Because you already have the victory, it is now your duty to remain faithful to your calling so Jesus’ sacrifice on your behalf is not in vain. In the verses above, Paul encourages the Corinthian church to be steadfast and immovable. Don’t give up on your faith, ever. Remain in Christ and He will work wonders in and through your life.

When you start serving Christ and His people, He will make sure your labor is not in vain. God sees everything you do. He will reward you and grant you grace to accomplish much more for His glory.
