Walk in power

Isaiah 61:7

Instead of your shame you shall have double honor, And instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion.
Therefore in their land they shall possess double; Everlasting joy shall be theirs.

Where in this journey are we with the Lord ? Are we still the small little babes sucking into the milk for sustenance or are we the giant warriors for the kingdom of Jesus Christ? Are we the men and women of faith who are upholding their first love or have we given up, tied down, settled for a comfortable life? Unable to hear the Lord anymore; or  his spirit. We only take the time to hear him  when it suits us and a need or desire comes knocking at our doors.

In this verse today; lets look to the word ‘Instead’. What does this word tell us today? Are we bargaining with the Lord? Are we seeking a middle ground? Are we settling for the less in life? For the Lord clearly says instead of shame you will have double honor, and instead of confusion you shall rejoice in your portion. And then we will possess double; and everlasting joy will be ours.

Let us not dwell in shame or confusion. Let every demon be out of our lives that resist and keeps us in the bondage of shame and confusion. Let us dwell and abide in his grace. His grace and his presence brings about everlasting joy. It divides the great Red Sea enabling us to walk through and cross over.

Let us cross over every habit, every stronghold, every confusion, every bottled emotion and walk in the power of the Lord.We serve a powerful God.
