As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him. 2 Samuel 22:31
As David reflected on his life, he realised that God was the Waymaker throughout. How otherwise is it possible for a shepherd boy rejected by all to succeed to the throne as king instead? God has promised to make ways in the wilderness(Isaiah 43:19), and His word is proven.
God’s word always accomplishes its purposes and is not vain or empty (Isaiah 55:11). We often listen to our hearts to lead us(Jeremiah 17:9) rather than God’s word showing us the way ahead. As a result, we make choices in a moment only to regret them for a lifetime. Instead, we should lean on God’s word to comprehend His ways. God has a life tailor-made for you that no one can emulate. Stay on God’s course, and do not covet others’ paths. God’s ways may lead you to challenges on every side, and you may wonder why. But, just be still and know that He is God(Psalms 46:10)!
Right now, you probably are surrounded like the Israelites, with Pharaoh’s army on one side and the Red Sea on the other(Exodus 14). Remember that God was a shield to every one of them and dried up the sea so that they could cross over. God’s ways are supernatural and apprehended in hindsight. Whatever the impossible situations you face, stay in God’s perfect way. He will give you exclusive access to His presence and blessings beyond measure.
Like David, seek God all your life, and He will give you everything you need to follow His course(Matthew 6:33). When God is the Waymaker in your life, He is responsible to shield you, all the way ahead. So today, saturate yourself in God’s word and WALK ON.
