Stepping Into Victory

1 Corinthians 1:27 God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty.

The modern world appreciates intelligence, strength, power and fame. In a world with such ideology, people often label others who fail to meet their criteria as weak. It is more important to know that, the God who we serve is not known for choosing kings or strong warriors, or the most influential people for great and mighty works. He calls the weak to step into Victory.

David, a young shepherd boy defeated a giant; Moses, a stuttering man, led hundreds of thousands of people out of slavery to the promised land; an illiterate group of fishermen were transformed into fishers of men. In each of these cases, it wasn’t the wit or the strength or the influence that brought them to victory. It was a promise, which had purpose in the mighty plan of God.

Do not be discouraged about your weakness. Be encouraged that the God who anointed David to be king is the same God to whom you pray today. He doesn’t do a background check for abilities or accomplishments. He looks for those who have the hunger for His goodness and trust in His plans.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. – Proverbs 3:5-6

And God being Himself, will use you and lead you greatly for the glory of His kingdom!
