Your Wish, His Heart

John 15:7

If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.

When you have an intimate relationship with the Lord, the harvest of your life is sure to be abundant. In fact, whatever you ask for will be heard by and answered by the Lord. This is because once Jesus is your source, even your desires will stem from what touches the heart of the Lord and what benefits His Kingdom.

You move from an “I, me, myself” vision to a “You, we, ourselves” vision.

You move from an “I, me, myself” vision to a “You, we, ourselves” vision. What moves His heart will move yours. What concerns Him will begin to concern you. Just like the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are One, you are adopted into this family and are ONE with Him. That doesn’t mean that you can’t ask the Lord anything for yourself. Rather, there is a maturity that is achieved as your grow in the Lord. When you are a child, you speak like a child; you understand like a child and think like a child. But when you mature, it’s time to put away those childish ways. (1 Cor.13:11) This growth process from an infant to an adult takes time and nurturing. What you feed yourself with, where you get your nutrition from, what shapes your thought process and your value system is of utmost importance.

Put another way, what you wish for and what you desire for will show your growth stage in the Lord. Therefore, if you want to have a growth spurt, go ahead and let His Words take root in your heart and your thoughts. Drink of His Living Waters. Have a feast on His Word. Remember, when He brings you over to His banqueting house, His banner over you is that of love, joy, protection and comfort.

My God! I can’t believe this… This is affirmation. I’ve been dwelling on this thought for days and it’s been discussed with my Pastor here in Ballari. Yes, God is not unpredictable. He answers prayers. Period. Ask and it shall be given… That settles it… I loved the devotional… Every word inspired by the Holy Spirit.

True, The Almighty Jesus is not unpredictable. I experienced this yesterday when l was unfortunately locked in the room and was in a helpless state, my prayers were answered, the latch began to loosen itself. Glory to The Almighty Jesus. Praise the Lord. Amen.
