Your word is my comfort, Lord!

Isaiah 12:1
“O Lord, I will praise You; though You were angry with me, Your anger is turned away, and You comfort me.”

One of the most beautiful feelings we get to experience in life is God’s love. Irrespective of our insecurities, vulnerabilities, or mistakes, God will never judge us or leave us.

Under the new covenant, does God get angry with us? The wrath and anger of God were poured out upon the Son of God on the cross. Truly, when we understand that Jesus paid it all for us, we wake up knowing it is a new day and that His mercy and grace are giving us a fresh start every single day. It is so comforting and helps us to live a guilt-free life. Most believers run away from God when they sin; they feel guilty and judge themselves. But 1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.Walk with Him and go towards the Lord, and Jesus loves to comfort us with His love and mercy. Guilt and self-pity are two emotions that pull us away from achieving greater success in life. When we feel those emotions next time, let us get up and praise God for turning away His anger and comforting us with His love.
