1 John 3:9

No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God.

Designer babies or PGD-pre-implantation genetic diagnoses or gene-editing allows parents to pick characteristics of their unborn babies to control their babies’ well-being. Of course, these parents want to ensure they do their best for their kids.

Almost similarly, our Heavenly Father has lavished His love and His Son on us. Through faith in His Son, we can be completely born-again! With an absolutely new set of DNA and a faultless set of genes. This is not a fantasy, but the ultimate truth, the reason why Jesus died on the cross for us. Just because our eyes are not immediately revealed to see what’s happening in the spiritual, doesn’t make it any less real. Which is why we need to exercise our eyes of faith until our vision is so strong and clear that we are confident of the new-life that we receive through Christ.

When we have this life-changing encounter with Christ Jesus, no longer will we continue to live in the manner that we were living before being born-again. We have been fathered by the Lord Himself, so we will refuse sin and refuse to yield to that which is not of the Lord. Being born-again as babes, we might not fully transform in an instant but because we are born-again, the transformation process has definitely begun and will evidently show even in the infancy stage. As much as babes need their parents to teach and instruct them, we need our Heavenly Father. We need to relish the Word since that is truly our daily bread. As we grow in Him, may our lives demonstrate the love, glory and power of He that is in us-Christ Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith!!!
