John 14:6 – “Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
In verse 1, Jesus commands His disciples: “Do not let your hearts be troubled.” So, first of all, Jesus does not want us to be troubled by anything in this life, including, pandemics. He wants our trust and belief in Him to sustain us through it all.
Then He continues by saying that He Is The Way, and The Truth, and The Life. “The”. Not another, not one more, but “the”.
He is The Way. The Way in which you and I must walk. “…Since we have the confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body.” (Hebrews 10:19-20). Through Him we enter, and through Him we shall be saved. (John 10:9).
He is The Truth, The True One. Jesus is The One who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What He opens no one can shut and what He shuts no one can open. (Revelation 3:7).
He is The Life. He is the creator and giver of life. A life of abundance, a life of hope, a life of love, life here on earth, and eternal life. He holds the key of life and death. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. (Revelation 22:13).
And: No one comes to the Father, except through Him!
The Absolute God!
