Isaiah 46:10 “I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please”
Don’t we all have the desire to know what will happen to us tomorrow? Maybe you are going through doubts, fears, and anxieties, wondering if God’s purpose will work out in areas of relationship, work, health, abilities, studies, finding the right job opportunity, your children’s future, etc.
The only person who knows this is the one who knows the end from the beginning: God. Yes, God himself is working out His purpose for you. He has assured, “I say, ‘My purpose will stand,’ and I will do all that I please.'” (Isaiah 46:10) However, deep inside, you are in despair. Do not lose hope. His promises had always been true and will come to pass. He has promised that He never leaves you nor forsakes you.
Abraham and Isaac went through one of the most agonizing tests when God asked Abraham to sacrifice his only son Isaac. Abraham didn’t know the result of this test. However, he knew God and trusted Him, who knows the end from the beginning of this test. He boldly confessed that the Lord would provide the lamb (Genesis 22:8) when Isaac questioned him about the sacrificial lamb. Accordingly, the lamb was provided to him for sacrifice.
Abraham believed God’s promise that He would make a great nation out of him through Isaac. Let us hold on to His promise like Abraham. Rest assured that the one who saved Isaac’s life is determined to save ours too. Trials and tests disclose our obedience to God and the legitimacy of our faith and trust in Him. His purpose will stand, and He will do what pleases Him. In all things, God works for the good of those who love Him. Have a blessed day!
