February is a month of celebrations. Occasions like February 7 ‘Rose Day’ to February 14 Valentine’s Day, have a lot of significance in our social sphere. It probably reminds you of your loved ones, and occasions like your birthdays and anniversaries, or achievements that you celebrate.
Biblical Significance
In the Holy Bible, too, so many important days of celebration are mentioned. For example, the “Day of Passover” (Exodus 12:14), the “Day of Pentecost” (Acts 2:1–3), the “Day of Purim,” (Esther 9:22), and the “Good Friday” (Matthew 26:26–29). Did you notice that each of these days is historically significant, and not just ancient cultural days that are lost in the history of time? Also, all these important days are based on prophecies. This is either directly spoken by God or prophesied through prophets and other people who walked closely with God. Each and every single book in the Bible is full of God’s promises, restoration, keeping of covenant, and making sure His promises come true.
Introspection
Think of your life, Have you been promised an increment? A new job role, a promotion, a higher score, or a nice gift? Restoration in a relationship, a better profit in investment, or a day of the appointment with an important person? Yet, these are not always fulfilled or achieved, and even if they are, your experience is not always great.
Promise Keeping
The Word of God says every single promise made by God is Yes and Amen in Christ Jesus our Lord. This means, you may have had disappointments, since we live in a world that is sinful, however, when God has promised, and you have believed, it shall come to pass, no matter what the economy looks like, which government might be ruling, or whatever the doctors say about your sickness. God is your healer, redeemer, restorer, promise keeper, miracle worker, and light in the darkness. A true and promise-keeping God. Thus, since God has said it, I believe it, Amen!
