The Lord your God, who is going before you, will fight for you, as he did for you in Egypt, before your very eyes. Deuteronomy 1:30 (NIV)
God reminds us that we are not alone. In the face of hardship by promising in His Word that He actively battles for us and leads the way. When faced with difficulties, we could be inclined to rely on our strength or understanding. God, however, calls us to a different kind of response based on faith.
God is calling us to rely on Him, to recognize that He is mindful of our struggles and actively involved in them. We can find comfort in God’s promises during uncertain or challenging circumstances. He demonstrated His faithfulness in the past by leading the Israelites out of Egypt.
Remember that the same God who walks with us now is the same God who defeated Pharaoh. He helped His people through the Red Sea. Today, He defends us and ensures that His purposes are carried out.
Let us respond to the day’s verse with thankfulness and confidence. In prayer, let us submit our concerns, realizing that God knows about our difficulties and fights for us.
We can find new strength and the knowledge that the Almighty God goes before us. Let us deliberately decide to put our faith in God’s promises as we face the difficulties of every day.
May we thank God in our prayers for His unwavering presence and power.
