Keep Calling Upon The Lord

Psalm 55:16-17

“As for me, I will call upon God and the Lord shall save me. Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, and He shall hear my voice.”

Where do you run to, or who do you call when you are facing bad times? Do you call or message a friend or maybe a relative? And how often do they really come to your rescue?

Well, unlike our dear ones, our God is always attentive to our cries and our voices. He “bends down, He inclines His ears to hear us when we call upon Him” (Psalm 116:2). God expects to hear us calling upon Him, for help, for guidance, or even for a conversation. He is always ready to listen to us.

We should pray to the Lord constantly, without ceasing, day and night, because our voices are heard, our prayers are received, and the Lord answers them – all of them.

Our prayer should also include constant thanksgiving, not just seeking immediate “assistance” when we are in trouble or need. We should call upon the Lord when times are good and when times are bad; through days of suffering, and days of rejoicing; in days of plenty, and days of not having what we need.

Even when you can’t speak or utter a sound, God still hears you.

So call upon the Lord, for He hears your voice, and He always, inevitably, inclines His ears, and answers your prayer.
