Abounding Grace and Salvation

Titus 2:11-12 —”For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age,”

In the scripture, Paul pens to Titus how to teach sound doctrine to the people who were bothering him. The same applies to us. He began talking about the expected roles of older men and women, moved on to young men and women and even provided pointers for servants.

By the Gospel, the doctrine of grace and salvation is for all of mankind. It teaches us to have no more to do with sin. It teaches to have our conscience switched to ‘on’ at all times. We ought to look to God in worship and in hope through Christ. We must do what is good, for example, earthly, sensual conversations do no suit us as it is not a heavenly calling; a godly conversation is one which is acceptable in the eyes of God. We ought to deny ourselves temptations and what remains of sin in the believer’s heart with all their hindrances. We would rather choose to live soberly, righteously, and godly, away from all snares, wordly lusts, corrupt examples, and ill usage. It teaches us to look for the glories of another world. If we do this, when Christ appears, the hope that we await will be complete. Christ brought us to holiness and happiness through His death. So think about this when you feel like you have to give up a lot or do a lot to be accepted in righteousness –  Jesus Christ, our great God and our Savior, saved us as God by sending us His son to earth. Then, as God-man, He loved us and gave Himself for us. Least we can do in this case is to love Him and surrender ourselves to Him! Redemption from sin + sanctification of the nature go together and = a peculiar people for God, free from guilt and condemnation, and purified by the Holy Spirit. Then, we will be more zealous to abound in real good works: we will be enabled to declare these things; exhort and rebuke with all authority. Stay obedient and receive this Grace.
