Always Loved

‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:38-39‬ – “For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Jesus loves you. This simple sentence has just three words but contains so much depth within it. Yet, we often just use the words in passing, or brush it off as Christian terminology. Jesus was the epitome of love, and He proved it by dying on our behalf. He loved us before we could even hear about Him, or understand the meaning of His sacrifice.

The love between two human beings can sometimes be dampened by factors such as bitterness, anger, disappointment, distance, unmet expectations or negative thoughts. But God’s love for His people can never be extinguished. In today’s verses, Paul lists out a huge list of things that cannot separate us from God’s love.

God’s love for you is steady and unchanging. Even if you feel forgotten and far away from Him, remember that He has not given up on you. Jesus still loves you and always will. Your thoughts, behavior and circumstances cannot diminish His love. If you feel you’ve moved away from God, make a decision to draw one step closer to Him again. Confess your thoughts, talk to Him, and walk back into His loving arms. Remember that you are always loved by God, no matter what.
