Be confident!

Be confident that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. – Philippians 1:6 (NIV)

God desires His children to change from one state of glory to the next. It is the transformation of our lives to emulate His perfection and the resemblance or image of Christ. This ‘good work’ in us began the day when we received salvation by grace and were declared righteous. No living person is justified, sanctified, made perfect or glorified by their works. Yet, only God can make this metamorphosis possible in each believer’s life.

As children of God, we are responsible for contributing to the transition. Our complete surrender and devotion belong to God. Since we have been crucified with Christ, we no longer live like our old selves, but Christ lives in us. We must live every day God has given us by relying on His strength and living according to His word.

From the present moment to the end of our lives, whenever that may be and under whatever conditions, God will uphold our faith and never let go of us. The confidence that He will complete what He has started should comfort us. The Lord wants us to live in this peace and security. No Christian believer should ever give up or experience hopelessness. We must realise that we can endure anything because He is watching over us. God honours His promises to us.

As a Christian Believer we should never be hopeless the hope himself resides in us and is able to complete the good work that he began in us.
