Psalm 116:1-2
I love the Lord, because He has heard My voice and my supplications…Therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live.
This is a thanksgiving psalm; it is not certain whether David penned it upon any particular occasion or upon a general review of the many gracious deliverance God had wrought for him.
We surely can relate to the expression ” I love the Lord, because He has heard My voice and my supplications“. In our distress when God comes through, we resolve to devote ourselves entirely to God and to His honor. We rededicate ourselves to love Him better. God’s love of compassion towards us justly requires our love of contentment in him.
Psalmist also recommits to call upon God better. The experiences we have had of God’s goodness to us, in answer to prayer, are great encouragements to us to continue praying and pray without ceasing all the days of our lives.
Our God is a faithful one, His mercies endure forever. He surely will come through when we call upon Him. Let us rededicate ourselves to love Him better and pray without ceasing all the days of our lives.
Blessed Day Ahead.
