Crossing over, and not looking back!

Exodus 15:13

In your unfailing love you will lead the people you have redeemed. In your strength you will guide them to your holy dwelling.

400 years of oppression and affliction in Egypt had ended when the Red Sea was miraculously parted and supernaturally held back while the people of the Most High crossed over to the other side. Not just that, once the Israelites had safely crossed over, they still had their enemies tailing them. Or so they thought, for no sooner had they crossed, the seas broke loose and drowned the Egyptians.

In Exodus 6, the Lord had already spoken of His promise to bring the Israelites out from under the yoke of the Egyptians, free them from being slaves and bring them to the Promised Land Canaan, the land flowing with milk and honey.

Let us draw the parallel of this to our own lives. The Lord our God has already delivered us from the hands of our enemy. We’re no longer slaves to sin but are children of the Most High! Know this, He will stretch out His mighty hands to subject nature to behave unnaturally for His children. The gushing waters of the Holy Spirit will not let the enemy come near you. Even as He has faithfully led you this far, in His mercy and loving-kindness He continues to guide you to the Promised Land. Even though you walk through the valleys or the wilderness, only choose to praise your Father. No evil can befall you, no plague can approach your tent; for He has commanded His angels concerning you, they will lift you up in their hands, so that even your foot will not strike against a stone! Praise be to the Lord!!!
