The key to foresee

Psalm 25:8,12

…therefore will he teach sinners in the way. What man is he that feareth the Lord? Him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.

Do you want to know God’s plan for your life?

The Bible tells us that the Lord will reveal His plans to those who fear Him. But, does that mean we should be afraid of Him? Certainly not! This fear is in reference to reverence for our creator.

Why is it important to have a reverential relationship with God? Is it solely because God desires respect?

Of course, God seeks our praise and worship because it is a great way to connect with Him. But, it is also important because, only people who admire the awesomeness of God, will appreciate the wonder of His plan for our lives. It takes dedication and faith, with a fistful of divine discernment, to follow God’s plan successfully.

In the Bible, we come across two prominent men of passion, who went by the name of Joseph. One features in the first book of the Old Testament, while we read about the other in the first book of the New Testament. God spoke to both, through dreams, to reveal the future.

One used discretion in following God’s plan and refrained from discussing it with the world. Of his wisdom was born our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ.

The other, spoke pompously of his dream and triggered the envy of his brothers. In time, he was sold to the Egyptians, which God used, to save his family during the time of famine.

Discernment to understand God’s blueprint for our lives is more important than merely knowing His plan. It is downright dangerous to seek His plan without asking for His wisdom.

Today, let us not just pray for God to reveal the roadmap of our lives, but let us ask for His legend of discernment, to read the map as He wants us to, and go where the Holy Spirit leads us.
