Feeling secure in God’s mercy

Psalm 31:7:  I will be glad and rejoice in thy mercy: for thou hast considered my trouble; thou hast known my soul in adversities.

God is infinitely merciful and kind to His children.  No things on the earth can be compared to such a thing as the mercy of God.  The psalmist David is so very glad and rejoicing in the mercy of God because God considered his trouble and never let him down in his troubled times.

Is there anyone who will always support us or own us during our troubled times like how God would?  He is there in our ups and downs, in our breakups, in our mess, in our mood swings, in our illness, on our death bed.  The list can go on and on.  God looks at our problems very attentively.  He knows it all after all.  He is the greatest physician ever and He knows every sickness and its cure.  The Lord Jesus whom we serve will dive deeper with us in any kind of situation just to ensure that He is there with us no matter what.  Now, that is called as the mercy of God or knowing our soul during troubled times or when in adversity.

When people do not stand up for you or want to own you because they are ashamed to do so, just remember that the Lord God would stand by your side.  If He is for us, nobody can be against us.  When the enemy comes in like a flood, He will raise a standard against him.
