Proverbs 3:3-4 – “Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart. So you will find favor and good success in the sight of God and man.”
As we enter the last week of the year, it’s a good time to reflect on the year that was – a year of the Lord’s favor. You probably saw a good deal of God’s grace on your life, but there were also those difficult days you had to walk through. You might have questioned God’s direction for your life or even His love for you. No matter how the past 12 months have been, it was still God’s favor that’s brought you this far.
If you’d like to walk in favor in the coming year as well, the verses above provide a hint. Don’t let love and faithfulness leave you. Remain steadfast in your faith, and be rooted firmly in God’s unconditional love for you. As you grow in faith, you will soon start displaying the love of God, His mercy and compassion towards those around you.
Your faith in God will never be in vain. Make the effort to know more about God through His Word and by spending time in prayer. He will give you the wisdom to understand His plans and purposes. He will guide you with His mighty hand, and you will find favor in the sight of God and man.
