“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.” Luke 10:27
‘Go all in’ means to be committed to something. It means to put all your efforts and resources into something for it to succeed.
For the sake of human love, many put their all in. The question is, is it worth it?
There is a worthy love to which we are all invited to ‘go all in’. It is God’s love. If we view our initiative and passion to love God, we’ll fall short. This awareness becomes heightened because of our weaknesses, hang-ups, failures, struggling sins, etc. This results in endless striving to love.
How can we have a powerful, engaging, loving relationship with God?
Loving God is a response to His great love for you!
It covers four areas and allows God’s love to influence these four areas. Love is not something we can learn in a classroom. It requires the engagement of our full faculties.
The first area is the heart – it deals with our core affections, desires, and motives.
The second area is the soul – it involves our belief systems, how we see ourselves, identity, personality, emotions, ways of relating to others, perceptions, etc.
The third area is strength – which involves our might and energy reset by God’s love.
The fourth area is the mind – involving knowledge and cognition, and every thought brought to come under the dominion of God’s love.
Before we address these four areas of our lives, let’s connect to God’s love. We can love because He first loved us. Allow His refreshing love to nourish us. We learn to express love by learning to connect with God’s love.
